A Fishing Series Like No Other

Are you ready to learn the fundamentals as to why 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish? Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned veteran of the salt, this THREE-DAY online webinar (90 Minutes each) for our Mouths of the Merrimack members will be an educational experience like never before. This course will feature the WHYs of fishing and change the way you approach those precious days you get to the water. The lessons taught here will be universal to boating, kayaks, or surf fishermen up and down the coast and once applied will turn you from zero to hero.

Understand that using “tricks” will not consistently catch you more fish than having a deep fundamental understanding of our beloved striped bass. The best fishermen obtain their “tricks” by deriving directly from the basics and adapting from what they see. This course will break down into three separate 90 Minute segments that will relate everything to increasing your catch rate. Each session is designed to be a prerequisite for the next:

March 23rd, 7:00 PM - Striped Bass Biology and Ecology

• Evolutionary striped bass physical traits and how they relate to fishing

• Discussion of seasonal and daily migration patterns

• Daily environmental factors and how they affect striper behavior

• How to study a chart to choose fishing spots

March 30th, 7:00 PM - Seasons within the Season

• Learn how different times of the year require different strategies

• Using the right tools (characteristics of rods, reels, leaders, hooks, etc..)

• What causes these "in-season” changes and how to adjust accordingly

• How the prevalent bait, lure selection, and presentation are vital to your success

April 6th, 7:00 PM - Let’s Go Fishing

• A more interactive lesson that will discuss pre-trip planning

• Using a random chart with situational examples, we will go through the pre-planning of a fictional trip with possible conditions to pick our spots and techniques

• Mid - Trip Audibles and thinking outside the box

BONUS RECORDED VIDEO ACCESS - Rigging the leaders, knots, lures, etc… that may come up during the season.
