April 16th - Newburyport Fishing Fair
Mark your calendars! This upcoming Saturday, April 16th, Mouths of the Merrimack will be sponsoring our first event, the Newburyport Fishing Fair, at the Newburyport Senior Recreational Center. Doors open at 9:00 AM, and the event runs till noon. Admission is $5 (Cash Only), and you can peruse through 36 tables of fishing gear suited for any flavor. As you scour the tables looking for the deal of the century, we will be raffling off some great prizes throughout the event.
Some of you may remember the Northeast Charterboat Captain's Association Flea Market down at the firehouse in Newbury, then eventually moved to the Newburyport Elk's Lodge. I remember attending the Flea Market as a teenager, looking for anything I could add to my collection. The Flea Market signaled that the season is upon us, so you better get the boats ready! The NCCA decided not to run it this year, so we wanted to bring back a spring time staple for the first time since pre-Covid.
This year, we have 36 vendors ranging from tackle shops (Surfland, Hudsons), custom lure makers, custom fly tiers, charter captains, commercial fishermen, and clothing/apparel. Whether you are throwing small nymphs in a trout stream or looking for commercial bluefin tuna gear, you'll be sure to find something at a great price!
In addition to the vendors, I am elated to share that we have some fantastic raffle prizes. If you are MOM member, you get ten free raffle tickets at the fair. Here are some of the raffles below.
Surfland Bait and Tackle has donated us a bunch of great prizes for the raffle! Thanks for the support guys! Make sure to stop by their table as well and support them! Martha and Liz have up for raffle:

Another thing I would like to mention, is on the 16th before our show at 9:00. AM, there is the Rocks Village Clean-Up. A lot of people are heading there to help with the annual clean up of the park, then shooting up 133 to catch our show! Click HERE to go to their Facebook Event page for more information.
See you Saturday!
